We accompany.
The path to healing.

Chronic wounds reduce quality of life. Open legs caused by circulatory disorders, skin damage from diabetes, pressure sores from restricted movement – they all limit daily life, cause pain, generate uncertainty and fear. Healing often fails not because of the wound itself. It fails because nobody consistently accompanies the entire journey. We do.

In the treatment of chronic wounds, too often only the dressing material and wound status are the focus. Not the person behind them. Yet no patient situation is like another. Poor wound care, unsuitable dressings, inadequately treated underlying conditions or a lack of knowledge among those involved. These are the real obstacles on the way to healing. We look at both: the wound and the life situation in which it developed.

How we analyse

Our process begins with a detailed initial consultation. With you, the family carers and the nursing service on site. We want to know what has been tried so far, what has not worked and what options you have yourself. Then we systematically assess the wound situation: causes, influencing factors, the overall care situation. We name shortcomings clearly, explain them in an understandable way and derive a specific plan from them.

Wound therapy is teamwork. Our certified ICW wound care experts coordinate everyone involved: they agree therapy recommendations with the treating doctor, discuss measures with the nursing service and train everyone involved in everyday care. Positioning, mobilisation, hygiene, professional dressing changes, correct handling of aids – we work with you until every move is second nature and the knowledge holds.

How we accompany

Come once and that’s it?

Not with us. We visit you regularly, check the effectiveness of the measures, document changes and adjust the care if something changes. We also advise on pain therapy, compression therapy and nutrition whenever this supports the healing process. And we remain available as a contact even after the wound has healed, to prevent it from recurring.

Our services at a glance

Initial consultation on site

At the start, we hold a detailed conversation with the person affected, their relatives and the responsible nursing service directly on site – to understand the situation as a whole.

Assessment and documentation of the wound situation

We carefully record and document the entire wound situation and the overall care situation, including the living environment, aids, pain therapy, compression therapy and nutrition.

Advice on gaps in care

The person affected, relatives and the nursing service receive targeted advice on identified gaps in wound care and in the general care situation.

Training for carers

Carers receive training tailored to the situation, for example in positioning, mobilisation, professional dressing changes and the proper use and handling of aids.

Individual treatment plan

Together we agree on an individual treatment plan geared towards economical, budget-friendly therapeutic measures.

Manufacturer-neutral recommendation of dressings

Our recommendations for dressings are independent, objective and manufacturer-neutral. They can be obtained quickly, transparently and cost-effectively from third-party suppliers.

Regular wound visits

We carry out regular wound visits every three to four weeks to monitor and evaluate the healing process.

Intervention when therapy needs adjusting

As soon as the therapy needs to be adjusted, we take active control and initiate the necessary measures.

Advice on preventing recurrence

Through recurring advice and guidance we support the continuous optimisation of treatment and help to prevent relapses in the long term.

The figures speak for themselves

In 87 percent of patients the wound situation improved considerably. 50 percent of all wounds healed completely. In 55 percent the pain was noticeably reduced. In over 70 percent quality of life rose significantly.

You do not have to take the first step alone. Talk to your health insurer and make use of our service – we will get in touch with you, discuss your individual needs and accompany you all the way from there.

Healing is a matter of time, but it is sometimes also a matter of opportunity.
